Well, if there is one thing Seamus Fionn Crimmins doesn't like, it's boring. So just to keep it interesting, he decided to go ahead and spike a fever tonight. Boom. Immediate hospitalization. How's that for interesting?
Just like every bump in the road on our journey so far, we were told to expect it. When we were at clinic last week, Dr. A told us to anticipate a fever and subsequent hospitalization before our next monthly clinic. It's flu season, Fionn's body is still recovering from the intensity of the last phase including radiation, etc. She said that hopefully this wouldn't happen, but there was a good chance that it would. Don't get too comfortable.
Sure enough, Fionn started to get a cold a few days ago. This morning he seemed tired and complained of a headache. His temperature stayed in the normal range until around 3 pm when it spiked suddenly to 101.7. That is an immediate hospital visit for us, folks. We pulled on our coats and shoes and off we went. We had to go straight to the Emergency Room because clinic would be closing around the time we arrived. Conor met us there, and he is there with Fionn still.
We will see what the morning brings, and I will provide another update then.
