Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Okay, so technically the "train" was a tram at the Minneapolis airport, but we're going to take a little poetic license here. Hope that's alright with you kind folks.

So...In his 3 short months of life, our son has now been on 6 flights, multiple car trips, countless buses, a boat, and an airport tram. My Uncle Shelby has joked that Fionn is going to "sprout wings" just about any day now due to all this travel. I am happy to report that, as of last night's bath, still no wings. But our Fionn is definitely breaking in his traveling shoes. Or traveling booties, as the case may be.

Last week's travels took us to Minnesota where Fionn had the opportunity to meet many of his Minnesota family members, including his Grammy (otherwise known as Conor's mom, Jean Crimmins), his 4 Aunties, and two of his cousins.

It was so lovely to see Fionn with his Grammy. Although he is Grammy's Number 6 Grandchild (with 2 more on the way!), she made him feel so loved and special. We love you, Grammy!

Fionn also loved spending some QT with all his lovely Aunties. He just soaked up all the hugs, kisses, and cuddles from Aunties Meaghan, Shannon, Kelly, and Erin.

Of course, Fionn especially loved meeting his cousin, Griffin, who is 6 years old and definitely somebody that Fionny will look up to as he grows into a little boy. We know that you have a lot to teach him and show him, Griffin!

A special treat for Fionn was meeting his cousin, Gracie, who was the Baby of the Crimmins Clan before Fionn usurped her title. But don't cry for Gracie. She still has the title of Only Girl Baby, although not for long since George and Becky's baby girl is due in November!

We had to say goodbye to the Minnesota Crimmins Clan on Friday when they left for Irish Fest which takes place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Irish Fest is an annual festival of Irish culture and music...and beer! It also serves as the family reunion for Conor's family every summer. It is always a blast, and we were sad to miss it this year.

However, we had a very, VERY good reason for being absent. Our dear friends, Jen and Jon, tied the knot last weekend! We are so happy and excited for them. The wedding took place on a farm and was just magical. Lovely weather, amazing setting, and a very moving and meaningful ceremony.

Of course, we outfitted Fionn in his second "tux" for the occasion. Doesn't he look dashing? Oh yeah, and his dad doesn't look half-bad either.

It was a glorious and fun weekend, and we wish Jon and Jen a lifetime of happiness! Congratulations, you guys! We love you.

This coming weekend we're off to Portsmouth, Virginia. Because quiet time at home is totally overrated. Totally.
